Dr. Meatbone enjoying the sunset
Josh Stein is of counsel at Buckley & Turner, PLLC. The siren song of the oil patch lured this New Hampshire native to West Texas in 2011. Josh originally focused his practice on title examination until he found his true love: oil and gas litigation and arbitration.
Josh now takes his “live free or die” attitude into the courtroom. He’s recently litigated cases involving fraudulent “leases” of non-participating royalties, conversion of oil in storage tanks, fixed and floating royalty interests, adverse possession of ghost towns, and multiple deed interpretation cases distinguishing “current production” from “new production” and “estate conveyed” from “lands described.”
Josh earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Boston College School of Law in 2011. He is licensed to practice law in Texas and is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen, the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section and the Litigation Section of the State Bar of Texas. He also owes me pakora for life.
When not in the office, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife Sarah and playing fetch with his dog Dr. Meatbone. Although he’s not a native Texan, he’ll proudly tell anyone that he’s been to every county in the state (some of them twice).
